Carol Ann Barr, 58, of Ashland, died early Tuesday morning, Feb. 17, 2009, at her residence, following a long illness.
She was born on Feb. 15, 1951, in Lodi to Wayne J. and Virginia Walmer Hunter.
She had been a resident of the Ashland area most of her life. She was a member of Maple Grove Church of the Brethren. She was employed by General Motors Ontario Plant as a tool and die maker for 19 years before retiring. She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother.
On Nov. 3, 1990, she married John W. “Bill” Barr, who survives. She is also survived by a daughter, Angela (Travis) McKissick of Nankin; a stepdaughter, Mary (Vond) Hall of Archbold; a stepson, Mike (Tammy) Barr of Nova; seven grandchildren; and her brother, Dale Hunter of Hagerstown, Md.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, at Maple Grove Church of the Brethren, with Pastor Bill Schaefer officiating.
Burial will be in Nankin Cemetery. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at Denbow-Primm-Kemery Funeral Home, 313 Center St., Ashland.
