From his obituary: Businessman, philanthropist and church leader died at age 71 at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, TN. Moved to Sikeston, Mo 41 years ago and owned Lewis Furniture Co and established a church and served as pastor. Named Man of the Year in 1969 by the Sikeston Area Chamber of Commerce. Instrumental in establishing Little League Baseball in Sikeston. Born in Taylor, Ark to the late William and Nora England Lewis. Married Pearl Hogue 10/10/1931 who survives along with sons Don of Columbia, Mo and David of Richton Park, IL; daughter Mrs Marilyn Moll of San Antonio, Tx; brothers OW and Lester of Sikeston, Harry of East Parairie, Mo and Orville of Rosedale, MS; sister Mrs Rebecca Keasler of Tulsa, OK; and 7 grandchildren.
