The John Walmer Homestead

Above is the John Walmer Homestead.  John is standing center with his painting next to him.  To the right in the chair is John’s wife, Armenia Alice "Minnie" Spangler.  Playing on the ground are Floyd and Grace.  Floyd was my husband’s great grandfather.  The lady standing next to the horse is John's mother, Mary (Hoff) Walmer.

This is the Walmer Homestead.  Floyd lived here until he was 30.  Floyd is under the roof, on the bottom with the gun.

JOHN WALMER  (JOSEPH, Sr., GEORGE WALMER, JOHN WALMER, PETER) was born

December 24, 1858 in Ohio, and died December 26, 1933 in Wayne County, Ohio.  He was the son of JOSEPH & MARY (HOFF) WALMER.  He married ARMENIA ALICE "MINNIE" SPANGLER December 23, 1887, daughter of PETER SPANGLER and MARY HEFFELFINGER.   She was born December 02, 1863 in Ohio, and died August 27, 1920 in Wayne County, Ohio.  He also married (2) Mary Runkle, July 1, 1928.
